Repeatedly moving back and forth between the THINC control's touchscreen and hardware keyboard can be a hassle.Yet most software keyboards get in the way, become hidden by other windows, or are inaccessible when the taskbar is hidden behind the HMI. For this reason, DataZen has developed an onscreen keyboard suited to the needs of THINC machine operators.

Founded in 2004, dataZen is a multi-divisional research and development company headquartered in the Research Triangle of North Carolina. Our primary focus is on software products for the machine tool and electrical industries. 

While our roots are in developing innovative custom software solutions, our flexibility and broad knowledge base allow us to branch into diverse fields: digital asset management, image processing, machine tool interfacing, and automation. DataZen was proud to participate in the most recent THINC Developers' Forum in Charlotte, NC. While there, DataZen shared new ideas for THINC-based solutions to machining and manufacturing issues.

The official DataZen presentation demonstrated a concept for in-process gauging using a robotic arm and laser micrometer. This solution would leverage the power of the THINC platform to trigger automatic scans of a lathed part, run the measurements through an SPC system, and mark the part as good or bad accordingly.
