MacMan-NET 2010 represents a major increase in the capabilities of the program over the MACMAN-NET 2007 version. New features include an easily accessible menu system, extensive reporting, quick links, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), etc.
However, this does not mean that MACMAN-NET 2007 users will not feel at home. MacMan-Net 2010 maintains the familiar intuitive user interface, integrating all new functionality without overloading the interface. Moreover, MacMan-NET 2010 automatically migrates all data from MacMan-Net 2007 during the upgrtde process. Spanish-language support has also been added.MacMan-Net 2010 leverages the power of the THINC API to support Okuma P-controls. Legacy control are still supported using the DNC-T3 option. Note: please check the latest release notes for these options at Okuma America Corporation's website.
MacMan-Net Dashboard
The MacMan-Net Dashboard displays the entire data collection for a machine on a single page. The current machine status information displays prominently at the top of the page: current part program, alarm, NC status, axis positions, etc. The Dashboard includes alarm history, machining report, part count, and efficiency reports for the past week (configurable).Reports Compare
Reports have been redesigned so that multiple reports may be viewed side-by-side. Historical data is one of the most useful and heavily used features of MacMan-Net, and DataZen is committed to bringing even more improvements to MacMan-Net reporting in the future.Overall Equipment Effectiveness
The latest version of MacMan-Net now includes support for Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). When configured, OEE allows operator entry of data necessary for OEE calculations. This data is then stored and merged with machine non-operating times and part counts for OEE calculations.MacMan-Net Notifier
The newly-designed Notifier is a user-configurable application that resides in the system tray of your desktop or laptop computer. It runs in the background, communicating with the MacMan-Net server to retrieve machine alarm information and current status. Current status may be displayed at the corner of your screen. Additionally, you can configure pop-up alerts for specific alarms on machines that you specify.MacMan-Net Mobile
Mobile devices such as the iPhone, Blackberry, and Android have seen incredible growth in recent years. DataZen has developed a mobile version of the MacMan-Net website to provide lightweight but useful information on mobile devices. Using the mobile MacMan-Net site, you can view machine status, alarms, and simplified reports while on the go. Ideal for iPhone, Android, or tablet devices.P-Connector
The THINC platform has created revolutionary new possibilities for CNC software development. By utilizing the power of Okuma's THINC API, DataZen has developed the P-Connector for use with MacMan-Net. P-Connector is a service that runs on the P200 control itself, delivering status information and MacMan historical data via a SOAP webservice. With the P-Connector, any application capable of consuming an XML SOAP webservice can read a rich set of data remotely from the P200 control. This opens many possibilities for data collection, monitoring, and feedback.
The Future
Recognizing the value that MacMan-Net brings its users, DataZen remains committed to continuing improvements to the software. DataZen welcomes feature requests, and strives to incorporate new functionality that will bring added value to everyone using MacMan-Net.If you have questions about any of the features new to MacMan-Net 2010, or inquiries about future improvements, please contact us.
