Case Study: P200 to PLC Adapter

One such solution involved a client who needed to integrate his Okuma P200L CNC with an existing data collection system. Typically, the Windows-based P200 control makes software integration a natural option. In this case, however, the customer owned a proprietary "black box" system which allowed integration only at a hardware level.
iPC with Tool Wear Offsetter
dataZen introduces iPC featuring Tool Wear Offsetter. An industrial PC platform, iPC runs dataZen's Tool Wear Offsetter application, which allows an operator to view or modify tool wear offsets for multiple Okuma P200 controls.

The USB IR-Thermometer application provides a way to write a temperature value to a common variable on an OSP P200 control. Through a configuration settings form, you are able to set the common variable and temperature scale to fit your needs.
Legacy Data Collector
Okuma legacy controls outnumber the newer THINC controls, and many are still heavily utilized. dataZen Engineering has developed Legacy Data Collector to connect to the 7000, E100, and U100 series controls using the DNC-T3 option.
