dataZen introduces iPC featuring Tool Wear Offsetter. An industrial PC platform, iPC runs dataZen's Tool Wear Offsetter application, which allows an operator to view or modify tool wear offsets for multiple Okuma P200 controls.
About iPC
iPC is an industrial PC platform with a touchscreen interface, running Windows XP on 1 GB of memory. This platform allows hosting of various dataZen Engineering applications designed for use with P200 controls. As an industrial PC in a NEMA-rated enclosure, it is durable and ready for use in a factory floor environment.
Uses
dataZen Engineering provides the iPC as a solution for running machining applications such as TWO (Tool Wear Offsetter). This application enables an operator to adjust tool wear offsets from outside a robotic cage, using the iPC's touchscreen interface. This increases efficiency by reducing downtime due to an operator having to enter a robotic cage.
iPC can be used to control and access multiple machines on the network. This eliminates the need for a separate PC for each control. Since iPC is remotely connected, operators can make adjustments without having to stop the machine.
